Newsletter Terms
Version pl-2026-10-12, effective from 12 October 2026
This is an English translation for your convenience. The Polish version is the binding one.
These terms describe what you are signing up for when you leave your e-mail address on joanasi.com, what you get as a welcome and how to unsubscribe. I keep them short, because a newsletter is a simple thing.
1. Who sends it
The newsletter is sent by Joanna Sirak, a sole trader registered in the Central Register and Information on Economic Activity (CEIDG) under the business name JOANASI JOANNA SIRAK, NIP (tax ID) 6751435279, REGON (statistical number) 146446576, ul. Tkacka 5/5, 30-050 Kraków, hello@joanasi.com. I sign the messages as “Asia z Joanasi” (Asia from Joanasi).
2. What you are signing up for
E-mails from me: about strength training with dumbbells, about food, about new blog posts and about my products, including the Fresh Start Meal Plan (Dieta na Start in the Polish terms). I write irregularly, usually no more than once a week. I do not sell or share your address with anyone for marketing purposes.
Signing up is one separate consent to receive commercial information from me by electronic means, given by clicking the button next to the consent sentence (Article 398 of the Polish Electronic Communications Law (Prawo komunikacji elektronicznej), Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). It is voluntary: it is not a condition of a purchase, of access to the platform or of anything else on the website.
3. Welcome gift: the Strength Start plan
As a welcome, you get the Strength Start training plan (Siła na Start in the Polish terms) in PDF format: four home workouts with dumbbells, with a warm-up, rep ranges and space to record your results. It is a thank-you for signing up, not a separate contract of sale, and you do not pay money for it.
Because you receive digital content in exchange for providing your data and your consent, the provisions of the Polish Consumer Rights Act (ustawa o prawach konsumenta) on digital content apply to it. That is why I give you what the Act requires:
- Main characteristics: a printable PDF file; general and educational content (see /en/health-information). For the exercises you need dumbbells and a bench or stable support; four workouts a week of about 55-65 minutes each.
- Technical requirements: a program that opens PDF files and a working e-mail address.
- Duration: I send you messages until you withdraw your consent. The link to download the plan is valid for 14 days; you can generate a new one at any time on the /materialy/odbierz page while your consent is active.
- Withdrawal: you may withdraw within 14 days of signing up and at any time afterwards. In practice this means unsubscribing (point 5) and, if you wish, asking for your data to be deleted. I do not ask for the downloaded file to be returned.
- Complaints: if the plan did not arrive, the file does not open or it does not match its description, write to hello@joanasi.com. I reply within 14 days.
Every file issued contains an invisible copy identifier, linked to your sign-up. It is used to establish the source of a copy should it reach unauthorised persons. The plan is for your personal use; do not pass it on or publish it.
4. How signing up works
- You enter your e-mail address and click the button next to the consent sentence; there is no box to tick.
- I record proof of consent: its wording and version, the time, a hash of your IP address, your browser family and the page and campaign from which you signed up. I do not send a separate “confirm your sign-up” message; the first message already contains the link to the plan.
- I send a message with a link to the plan, valid for 14 days. The link leads to the file only while your consent is active.
- I send the newsletter myself through Amazon SES, from my own server on AWS, where the whole site runs. I do not use an external newsletter tool. Your address and consent status stay in my database; Amazon Web Services processes them only as a processor, described in the Privacy Policy.
If the message does not arrive, check your spam and promotions folder, then go to /materialy/odbierz and ask for a new link. If that does not help, write to hello@joanasi.com.
5. How to unsubscribe
Every message contains an unsubscribe link (/rezygnacja). One click is enough; you do not have to give a reason or sign in. You can also write to hello@joanasi.com.
Once you unsubscribe, I stop sending messages immediately, and new links to the plan stop working. You do not have to delete the downloaded file. I keep proof of giving and withdrawing consent for a further 3 years, so that I can show the messages had a legal basis; after that I delete it automatically. If you want me to delete your address earlier from everywhere except that proof, write to me. Signing up again is a new consent and a new link.
6. Personal data
Details of data processing, including processors, retention periods and your rights, are set out in the Privacy Policy (/en/privacy).
7. Changes to these terms
These terms may change when the newsletter, the welcome gift or the law changes. The current version is always at this address, with the version designation and date. I will tell you about significant changes in a message.
